Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of FlowBeacon (“the Service”), operated by FlowBeacon (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
FlowBeacon is a pool service management application designed to help pool service professionals and pool owners log service visits, track chemical readings, manage inventory, and maintain service records. The Service is provided as a subscription-based software product.
2. Eligibility
You may use FlowBeacon if you are capable of forming a binding contract. There is no minimum age requirement for use of the Service. By using the Service, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you will comply with these Terms.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at
contact@flowbeacon.app if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your credentials.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
Free Trial
FlowBeacon offers a 30-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to begin a trial unless otherwise stated.
Paid Plans
After the trial period, continued use of the Service requires a paid subscription. Subscription plans and pricing are displayed at the time of purchase. Billing is handled through Stripe and our website. You authorize us to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis according to your chosen plan.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.
Changes to Pricing
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days’ notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
5. Your Data
You retain ownership of all data you enter into FlowBeacon, including pool records, service visits, photos, and notes. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time, including after cancelling your subscription, by contacting
contact@flowbeacon.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use FlowBeacon to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users’ accounts
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use the Service to build a competing product
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
7. Intellectual Property
FlowBeacon and all related software, design, logos, and content are the property of FlowBeacon and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written permission.
8. Third-Party Services
FlowBeacon integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payment processing) and Supabase (data storage). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. FlowBeacon is a record-keeping and logging tool. Chemical recommendations and readings logged in the app are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice. Always follow manufacturer guidelines and consult a qualified professional for water treatment decisions.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FLOWBEACON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Williamson County, Texas.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the app and updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 5, 7, 9, 10, and 11 survive termination.
